School

Immanuel Lutheran School is an active mission of Immanuel Lutheran Church which exists to help its members grow in personal faith through the Holy Spirit and to share the love of God through the Gospel of Christ.

In Deuteronomy 6:6-7 God’s Word reads, “These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children.” Parents are given the responsibility of providing a Christian education for their children. Philosophy Statement

  • We believe that the Bible is God’s Word. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
  • We believe that people come into a right relationship with God by grace through faith in Jesus. (John 3:16; Romans 3:28, 5:1)
  • We believe that the Christian school exists to fulfill the commission that Jesus gave His church to go into all the world and make disciples in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit and to teach them to obey everything He commanded. ( Matthew 28:18-20)
  • We believe that a child’s education, whether in the church, day or home school, is predominantly influenced by the family and that the Christian church and school exist to support, compliment, and enhance the parental obligation to “Train up a child in the way he should go…” (Proverbs 22:6)
  • We believe that the Holy Spirit, working through the Word and Sacrament, brings people into a love relationship with Jesus. (1 Corinthians 6:11)
  • We believe that the Scripture should be taught and applied to every situation in a person’s life. (2 timothy 3:16-17)
  • We believe that all people are fearfully and wonderfully made and by the love of God are precious in His sight. (Psalm 139:14)
  • We believe that Christian education equips people to live out the great commandment to love God and the neighbor. (Matthew 22:37, 39; Deuteronomy 6:6-7)
  • We believe that Christian education contributes to personal spiritual growth and responsible citizenship. (Romans 12:1-2; Corinthians 8:1-7)
  • We believe that it is important to teach people to be responsible stewards of time, abilities, income, influence, and possessions. (Matthew 25:14-30)
  • We believe that parents and teachers working together is necessary for children to mature in Christian character and purpose.
